WE ARE OCCAM.

A SAFE PLACE TO GET REAL HELP

In today’s digital, virtual economy, it is increasingly difficult to know who exactly you are working with and decipher the reality of what they are offering you. Many firms taut a variety of credibility boosting badges and affiliations. But what do these actually mean? How do those things actually protect you? If you are wronged by a company, it doesn’t matter how many credibility badges or affiliations they have. Often you are left to deal with the issues yourself. By the time you realize you have been wronged or taken advntage of, or have been lied to, it may be too late. There have been companies in this industry that have set up a series of LLCs so they can dissolve them, rebrand and relaunch a new brand while bilking consumers out of millions of dollars in the process. Just because a company has a fancy badge, certification or trade group affiliation doesn’t mean they are credible. What’s important is what is behind them. How do those badges or affiliations protect you? Therein lies the key. There must be substance behind the brand. OCCAM is designed to protect you in many ways. Let’s look at a few of them.

Comprehensive Audit and Investigation

Each OCCAM Member has undergone a comprehensive audit. During this audit, OCCAM Auditors will vet the company across every area of their business. We not only look at the information the company presents, but we run comprehensive background checks on the officers and leadership. We make sure that the companies are formed and operating correctly. Many companies will register a corporation or LLC but never properly establish bylaws or an operating agreement behind that corporation that dictates how that company should be run. We also look at the states that the company is operating in and make sure they are licensed and registered to do business there. We ensure that the firm performs background checks on all their employees, have proper data security protocols and physical security built into their operation. We also look at sales scripts, marketing and advertising. There is no area of the business left unchecked. You deserve that.

One of the other areas of the business operation we look at is their reputation. How has the company handled complaints when they arose? This may be a good indication of how you will be treated if you were to run into a challenge with them. We want you to KNOW the company you are working with regarding your finances. It s the most sensitive part of your life and you should feel confident that you are working with the right company. OCCAM is built by industry leaders and consumer advocates to make sure you get it right the first time.

  • Corporate Structure (are the companies created and operating properly)
  • Background checks of leadership (are they qualified to offer the service)
  • Address and lease verification (where are they physically located)
  • Contracts and documents
  • Sales and marketing materials (are they making proper disclosures)
  • Training (do they have proper training protocols and systems)
  • Policies and procedures (compliance management systems)
  • Licensing and registrations (are they properly licensed and registered)
  • Operations (are they operating efficiently and providing quality service)
  • Complaints and reputation and more. We vet EVERY AREA of the business.

ZERO Tolerance Complaint Policy

At OCCAM, we understand that sometimes, complaints happen. When doing business with large numbers of customers, things don’t always go perfect. We understand this. On the other side of that, however, is how the issues are addressed and ultimately resolved. We have a ZERO tolerance complaint policy, which means that if things go wrong, the OCCAM Certified Company will address and handle that challenge to YOUR satisfaction. If the company fails to address the challenge and you cannot get resolve, we will step in and make it right. Our policies are tough, but at the end of the day, YOU are the most important part of the equation. OCCAM gives you PEACE of MIND.

At OCCAM, we take consumer protection seriously. The companies that operate in this industry need to be trustworthy, ethical and competent to handle any scenario. The good companies welcome meaningful self-regulation and are humble enough to take advice and make changes to innovate their offerings. A great attorney once said, “Complaints are a gift. They will show you where improvements are needed. Embrace them.” We wholeheartedly agree. We want you to know who you’re dealing with and feel confident knowing that there is an organization of compliant, ethical consumer advocates at your side making sure that you get the help you need when you need it most. OCCAM is clearing the air and shining a light into this often misunderstood industry. We are the home of the “Good Guys”.
