Ambient Guitar Tip #4: Chord Shapes

LISTEN to my music here: http://music.lowercasenoises.com In this video I want to show you a little bit about how I think when it comes to chord shapes when I’m doing swells or other things. As with other aspects of all this stuff, it really comes down to cutting back things that are redundant or muddy, as well as thinking about space and separation. I hope this is helpful to you! In this video I’m playing a Gretsch Country Classic Jr into a Matchless Chieftain and Clubman. The pedals used in the swell sound were as follows: Diamond Compressor EHX Micro POG Goodrich L-120 Volume MXR Carbon Copy Strymon El Capistan Line 6 Echo Park Neunaber Stereo Wet Reverb Strymon Blue Sky My video camera is a Nikon D5100 and I use Final Cut Pro X to edit the video.
