Webinar: Helping Patrons Spot and Avoid Fraud [library resources]— consumerfinance.gov

This webinar provides a quick overview of the different types of fraud and scams, red flags to look out for, and how to help consumers protect themselves. The Library Resources webinar series is designed to familiarize library staff with information and resources they can use to help patrons who have questions about fraud, scams and other financial topics. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) supports librarians by providing free publications, access to online financial education tools, program ideas, outreach materials, a partnership guidebook, and training webinars, like this one, so they can guide patrons to unbiased informational resources. You do not need to be a financial expert in order to share recommendations on trusted resources or provide handouts and other printed materials in your library.
