Webinar: Setting Money Goals [library resources] — consumerfinance.gov
This webinar provides an overview of short-term and long-term financial goals, such as having enough money to pay bills in full each month, starting an emergency fund, creating and sticking to a budget, purchasing a car or home, paying off a large debt, or saving for retirement. The Library Resources webinar series is designed to familiarize library staff with information and resources they can use to help patrons who have questions about implementing financial goals and other financial topics. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) supports librarians by providing free publications, access to online financial education tools, program ideas, outreach materials, a partnership guidebook, and training webinars, like this one, so they can guide patrons to unbiased informational resources. You do not need to be a financial expert in order to share recommendations on trusted resources or provide handouts and other printed materials in your library.
